  • Survey Quiz Show

    Students participate in a game show (like the old show “Family Feud”) where they guess how people responded to a survey.

  • Job Seeking Activity

    Students pretending to be job seekers are matched with one of four part time job options by answering a series of questions asked by the students playing the role of an employment agency.

  • Who Am I? Celebrity Game

    Students label each other as a famous person and try to figure out who they are by asking about their nationality, physical appearance, job, hobbies etc.

  • Survey: Daily Activities

    Students circulate around the class asking questions of each other to find people who fit the description on the sheet. When found, students sign on the appropriate line.

  • Make a Photo Story

    Students make a digital photo presentation using software such as ‘Photo Story' and ‘iPhoto' as a starter project for making videos. This will enable students to gain skills in making an audiovisual presentation, making it easier to create good videos later.

    An Interactive Whiteboard resource which contains activities for learning and practicing vocabulary and expressions related to convenience stores in Japan, through the game of Sugoroku.

  • Movie: "Happy Family Plan"

    The movie is accompanied by a Language Resource Kit which allows students to learn Japanese through film in four easy steps: Watch; Listen; Practise; Speak. It is an effective learning tool for introducing Japanese language and culture to students, teachers, film lovers and the general public, presented in an engaging, entertaining and educational way.

    Students use their higher-order thinking skills and creativity to devise scenarios, student roles, props, lighting, editing techniques for a video project of their choice.

    Students form teams to answer questions about a Japanese house. They choose the room they wish to answer a question on and points are awarded if they answer correctly.

  • What is my Job?

    Students try to win as many job cards as possible by asking questions to try and determine which job is on the card.
